SICILY. Segesta. Circa 470-461 BC. Didrachm (Silver, 21 mm, 6.76 g, 9 h). Hound standing right, sniffing ground. Rev. ΣEΓEΣAΣIB EMI (retrograde) Head of the nymph Segesta to right. Hurter 24 (V5/R19). SNG ANS 616. SNG Delepierre 597 (same dies). SNG Lloyd 1165. Very rare and nicely toned. Rough surfaces and with some flan faults, otherwise, very fine.
